Grammy-Nominierungen 2014: Jay Z und Justin Timberlake sind Favoriten

Die Award-Saison in den USA hat begonnen. US-Rapper Jay Z führt mit neun Nominierungen die Riege der Grammy-Favoriten 2014 an. Ihm folgen Justin Timberlake (auf unserem Foto bei dem American Music Awards) , Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams und das Duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis mit je sieben Gewinnchancen.

Die Nominierungen wurden bei einem einstündigen Live-Konzert in der Nacht zum Samstag in Los Angeles bekanntgegeben. Der Sender CBS übertrug die Show. Um die begehrte Trophäe ‚Album des Jahres‘ konkurrieren Sara Bareilles (‚The Blessed Unrest‘, Foto unten), Daft Punk (‚Random Access Memories‘), Kendrick Lamar (‚Good Kid, M.A.A.D City‘), Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (‚The Heist‘) und Taylor Swift (‚Red‘).

Die Grammys gelten als die begehrtesten Musikpreise der Welt. Sie sollen am 26. Januar 2014 in Los Angeles vergeben werden. Ausgewählt werden die Preisträger von Vertretern der Plattenindustrie und Musikern. Im vorigen Februar ging die Auszeichnung für das beste Album an die britische Band Mumford & Sons für ‚Babel‘.
